This package has been especially designed for lovers of good wine, raki and traditional cooking. In Crete there are several quality vineyards, lot of raki distillery and we give you the opportunity to visit them and thus enjoy the creation and flavours of Cretan traditional cuisine and lifestyle.

1st Day:

Arrival at Heraklio airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will be welcome by our agency member which will provide you with your tour program and information’s about Heraklio so you can explore it in your free time.

2nd Day:

During second day we will experience following – travel to ancient palace of funerary site of Knossos. Incredible site – we will explore the variety of theories out there about its use. Next we will visit Heraklio Archaeological Museum which is truly incredible with its ancient Neolithic, Minoan, Mycenaean & Classical remains and art – a mesmerizing place.

3rd Day:

We will visit the biggest and one of most beautiful gorges of Greece.
Following the north coastline road of Crete we stop for a short break nearby Rethymnon before we continue our trip to Chania and Omalos' Plateau to the entrance of the Samaria gorge. Xyloskalo. From there we begin our descent, from an altitude of 1300 m. and the long hike of the narrow path which crosses the famous Samaria's Gorge National Park. The 18km. walk takes approx. 7 hours to complete. However the ever changing view and wonderful scent of pinewood and of the renowned aromatic Cretan herbs make the hike pleasant and the effort worthwhile.

4th Day:

Relax at your hotel or shopping at Heraklio. After Samaria Gorge its best you take a day off and just enjoy – you can go to beach and just relax!!!

5th Day:

Will start with visit to larger vinery on Crete – “Boutari”. There you will go step by step how the one of most famous Greek vine it’s made. Also you will taste on the spot various type of vines. Next will make short stop at Archanes village – one of oldest traditional villages in Crete where you can taste some sweets or find fresh home made bread. After we continuo for taste of Raki – traditional alcoholic drink, very strong and made here in Crete only in villages and family owned distillery. Here you gone experience true Cretan nature

6th Day:
Arolithos – Traditional village owned by one family where tradition of hundred years is still alive. You will try some home made Cretan cooking, find out some secrets of long life and also make your Cretan bread with cheese and olives ( with some help of course )

7th Day:

Free day!!!!!!! Do what you like or we can suggest one day cruise to Santorini!!
Or some other part of Crete, just ask us!!!

8th Day:

Here we say goodbye or until we meet next time!! Transfer from your hotel to airport
